MFI guys - I could use your help.
My philanthropy has come back to haunt me.
A few years ago there was a fellow here on the board who desperately needed some MFI parts. I had just removed a functioning system from my 73T. After speaking with him and seeing his situation I GAVE him the parts he needed. Now, as fait would have it, I could use those 2.4T stacks. So my question to the board - do any of you know where I can find a set of serviceable throttle bodies and linkage? I have posted on the want ad section with no luck. I called a buddy of mine who had a bin full of them - he sold the lot last year. The units have to be rebuildable. I only need the throttle bodies and linkage, nothing else. Any help or leads is much appreciated. |
Brian,
I've got a set of T throttle bodies that are in decent shape. How does 50 bucks plus shipping sound. Ron |
Do you have linkage as well?
|
If you are referring to the linkage for the throttles, yes. Linkage from the throttle bodies to the cross bar I do not have.
|
You got a deal.
Where is a good place to source the cross bar? Can you post or e-mail me some pictures of your throttle bodies? Thanks! |
Is the cross bar the same as webers and zeniths? If so I have a new one I'm going to put on my car, so the old one's for sale cheap. At one time I was going to build a second motor but decided against it.
|
I don't know if they are the same but I can probably make it work. What do you need for it?
Thanks! |
How's $25 sound? I seem to recall the new one costing 2-3x that but I could be wrong. Call our host to check the price, I believe they can order them.
|
I posted to this last night, guess it didn't take.
Can you e-mail me your contact info and a picture? I can't spend new money on this project, $25 is fine for a functioning unit. |
