linkage adjustment

SHould I do it before putting in my short shifter and new couplers or after. It is a little out of adjustment onmy 1974

If you are installing a new coupler ,you will have to adjust it anyway but to answer your question, you should wait until after installation of the new parts.
Did you read the response from me in your earlier thread? If your shifting components are not in good shape a short shifter could make things worse.
