Affordable brake upgrade
Must add this to the brake caliper upgrade list:
Price is right too. :) Sherwood |
Quite the wordsmith to boot.

I think this product fills a great niche. There are plenty of members on this board who have upgraded their brakes w/o a real need to (i.e. the street-rods and non-track cars). In the process, they spent a good deal of money, took away from the originality of their cars, and increased unsprung weight. All this, and the "look" is probably the biggest benefit. Some members have just painted their stock calipers -- same idea.
This product gives that same benefit, a great look, w/o the cost, added unsprung weight, etc. Would I put them on my car? No, definately not. My calipers are in stock finish. But this is a simple and easy way to increase the "bling" of your brakes, and w/o the disadvantages mentioned above for upgrading brakes on a street-only driven car. |
I rank this right up there with "spinning hubcabs", illuminated windshield washer nozzles, below car neon, fur lined sinks and electric dog polishers (thanks Steve Martin). What in the world....
Man, if people have so much money burning a hole in their pocket, I'll send them wiring info to my bank account! :D http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/dom.gif A real bargain compared to a 930 brake upgrade..... |
yes, please post your account info online...
I think I'll add those 'caliper covers' to my order for the Teflon coated rotors I'm buying... |

I liked his line about the purpose:
"Protect the brake calipers from environmental agents. " Wow...I better be careful...I didn't know the EPA guys were after my brake calipers too!! |
the whole ad is in Engrish.

Hey! We all forgot to ask Bill V pertinent questions on the expected increase of performance with this caliper kit !!
|
They missed the related opportunity - adhesive backed stickies to provide that drilled rotor look without all the messy drilling, countersinking, stress relieving, etc.
