Steering Wheel

I have a 1979 911sc with the 3 spoke steering wheel. I want to replace it with a 1985 Porsche 4 spoke wheel. I know the 4 spoke has a slightly larger diameter which shouldn't be a problem but I am not sure if the splines on both wheels are the same so that it will mate up with the steering post. I also want to know if a wheel puller is necessary or if all I need to do is take off the 27 mm nut and the wheel will just pull off. Thanks in advance....Bill

I've had both wheels on my 78 sc, the splines are the same. You won't need a puller, just a sharp tug should do the trick.
