Help on sport seat install please
 

Hi everyone,do early recaro sport seats from a 71 bolt right in to a mid year and are they an upgrade from stock or should I just sell them as I see they are worth big bucks?opinions please,Thanks,Marty

I think there is a change in mounting from early to mid year 911s.

If it were me, I'd just sell them. They won't be correct for a mid year and for the money they bring, you could pretty much get any other set for your mid year and still have money left over.

IMHO, I would sell them for the big money. Research them first to find out what you have. I understand that the pepper or houndstooth looking insert is worth $$$. I would carefully look into it and then buy some killer mid-year Sport Seats and bank the profit.

they are black vinyl with a black cordory insert that look original and are in very good condition and I was thinking of backdating to an RS look although it's a targa,hence my dilema.they are the same model as a tan leather set in the classifieds that don't look in usable condition at all but look like they are getting in the neighbouro od of 3000,what would mine be worth?thanks,marty

'71 factory Recaro sport seats complete with the correct sliders and brackets are worth $3500-$6000 depending on condition.

Post them in the for sale section over at the Early 911S Registry here and they'll be sold in 15 minutes.
