shift bushings
I did a search and while there was plenty of info on linkage adjustment and tech article on short shifter install, nothing on bushing replacement and I know it is not that easy cause I am bleeding and cussing after replacing the large forward bushing that is connected to the shift rod. I tried lubing and pressing in with a vice but it woiuld always pop out. I finally nuked it for 5 minutes in water and it pressed in part way. Then I took a thin screwdriver and worked my way around the bushing, pressing it in. That is when I slipped---sillly me for not wearing one of my four pair of mechanics gloves. My dear departed mechanic father would say in his best german. "untalented fingers need to come off!" In the morning I am going to replace the bushing in the back by the entrance to the tranny. Can anyone give me a heads up.
Hmmm, how long ago was that tetanus shot?

Forget the bushings, replace the coupler. I installed the Wevo and it was worth it.
