17x8.5 on a 66 911??
could i fit 17x7 in front and 17x8.5 in the rear of my 66 911??? The bolt pattern is the same, but maybe they would require spacers, but is there enough room?? The rear tires are 255. The wheels are from a newer boxster or 911.

There is no way you will fit those on a narrow bodied 66. 15x6 or 16x6 w/ 185 or 195's is doable, perhaps even 205's w/ proper spacing, rolled fender lips, etc.
