3.2 owners, where does the vacum line terminate?
I'm not sure if this has been disconnected for a while or recently. This is a braided hose about a foot and a half long that terminates above the oil filter with several other hoses. Hopefully the pictures help. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1151199296.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1151199359.jpg

If you are referring to the one above that runs through the fender, this is the hose that runs from the charcoal cannister under the rr fender to the evaporation tank under the lf fender... part of evaporative emissions system. tracks back along the firewall to the drivers' side then turns down and into body. |
I'm actually talking about the one inbetween the one you pointed out and the rubber one that is at a 90 degree angle. Did you graduate from Dental school in 1990 or are you a 90 year old Dentist?:) I graduated 1987 from University of Pittsburgh.

This one connects behind throttle body... vacuum valve that controls crankcase ventilation. You'll need to remove air cleaner housing, probably air flow meter, to access it. Edit: my secret code is now broken! U of M (Manitoba). Sweeet... dig your avatar! |
There was and available place on the throttle body that I can reach no problem. I'll give it a try.

If you've ever noticed gooey white residue on your dipstick and/or oil cap that could be the cause. Good to close up that extra vacuum connection anyway, may even improve your idle. TTFN
