SC alternator problems
 

I was changing the plugs on my brothers 83 SC and smelled wires burning. I sniffed around the fan and it seems to ce comming from the alternator. It still works but we were wondering if it is better to replace it with a new one or have it rebuilt locally?

Try to find a good shop locally, ask a few of the shops who they use.
