Ruby got new running shoes
Bought a set of 8/9" X 16" BBS wheels with MPSC's (225/245's)that are in really good shape. Finally put them on today to check fit over my calipers and take them for a test drive. This is the first time I've driven on R compound tires. Definitely a different feel, more responsive, a little more harsh. I can't wait to try 'em on the track at speed. I'll keep my Kinesis as my street tire wheels. Amazing how different the taller tires on 16" wheels look now...

Nice Ed, really nice.

Gorgeous car! I know you've mentioned it before but I've forgotten: Is the Chrome trim a special order on an '84? What's the story?
|
Nice Ed, I love those old school BBS wheels. If only they made them in 17" 9/11's I'd be all over them, they're a classic, just like fuchs and RUFs.

I'm normally not a fan of the basketweave, but on your car, they look very nice. Period correct, and the gold goes well with the ruby paint.

that looks great Ed :)

Thanks folks. Yes, the bright trim was ordered special. I agree that the BBS's look "period correct", but the higher profile 16" tires look kinda strange as I was getting used to the lower profile 17" tires on the Kinesis. These fit great over my 993 calipers with no spacers, which makes me EXTREMELY happy.
