Sunday morning drive down the Zig-Zag, Perth Western Australia (gratuitous pics)
Early morning drive down the Zig-Zag, Goosberry Hill, near Kalamunda, Perth Western Australia. This is a one-way winding road down a hill which gives great views of the valley below. Enjoy! RG5.

Fantastic shots !
You Northern Hemisphere guys might think that that light is so rich and a bit fake.........it isn't that is the way things look down under. I lived in Europe for two years and loved it but longed to see that unusual glow we seem to have down here.

ehhe! thanks for the kind comments guys. WA certainly is a beautiful place, ableit a little flat for my tastes topography wise.
The Kalamunda shire is not to far from where I live. Get up early on saturday and sunday morning (before the traffic picks up) and I have a nice drive down a new highway which warms the car up nicely, with a couple of traffic light stops after about 10 mins which is good for the obligatory 0-100 kms sprint. Then its a right turn at Kalamunda road, where I head up to the village and stop for a coffee. After that I make my way to the Zig Zag and go down there at a leisurely pace, stopping for photoshoots. I am currently building my repertoire of early morning drives in this region. If anyone locals would like to join me on any of these runs, feel free to make contact. Would be nice to get a mix of early cars and SCs/Carreras. Call it an alternative to the WA Porsche Club, if such a thing is desirable. See you on the early morning runs, RG5. |
