flare/bumper installation quuestion

Hey Guys,
I'm installing rear turbo flares (early ones) and a C2 965 fiberglass bumper on my '81 SC. I have them clamped in place and noticed that angle of the flare lip and the angle on the bumper lip do not match. Is this common with this kind of install and you have to make them match?

Also one other. Should the fiberglass bumper have to be forced over to mate with flares? Of course this puts stress on the bumper, but is a little a bad thing? Is a little okay?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Usually, as with any type of mods like this, nothing ever fits "right". Everyone ive ever done/seen required alot of 'fitting' to make them look right.

Rattlsnak,
Thanks for the response. I figured someone was going to say that. This is an area I'm not very experinced in but thought I would give it a try.
