rotor limiter adjustment

i drive a 2.0 E and it seems like the rpm limiter is too good? let me describe. if i wind out 2nd or 3rd gear i want to shift right as the limiter kicks on. my had on the shifter, foot ready to puch the clutch and sputter. not every time but enough to concern me.
turns out that i have the 6800rpm limiter? i would buy a S rotor set to 7200 but i have 4 of the others. so, i decided to adjust mine.
i used a small flat head screw driver and bent the spring contact. see pick. i moved it out .02" (measured with a calliper) and no more problem. but, what is the limiter set to now? i would like it set to 7200-7500. did i move it too much?

i am scheduled to do a valve job soon and i might get brave after that.
there has to be some way to check?
