Mirror Removal from Windshield
I have a windshield i'm trying to remove the rear view mirror; it looks simple enough, like you push the mirror 'up' and it slides out of the track.
I don't want to break the windshield to remove the mirror...is the reason it doesn't slide off age or am I missing an important piece?

Counterclockwise?

Do what I did.
Bang your head off of it while reaching for the glovebox from the outside. ![]()

Is there a way to replace just the mirrored glass without removing the whole thing from the winshield?
