front brake rotor removal

On my '77 911S, can the front brake rotors, hub and bearings be removed withour opening the steel brake line? I would like to hang the caliper from a wire while I replace all these other parts and want to avoid introducing air into the brake hydraulic system.

Simply press the brake pedal halfway down and wedge a board to hold it there. Then disconnect the brake lines at the calipers and remove them. I just did this for a four caliper rebuild. Almost no need to bleed when finished, but I did anyway. See the tach article on caliper rebuild.
