930 idling

I have a 1985 930, when I start the car it idles well (975 rpms), when the car is warmed up say a 20 min. drive, it will idle at 1200 rpms. Then if I shut the car down and restart it, it has a tough time restarting, and will run unevenly for a min. or two.

I had this happen to ours a year or so ago. Turned out to be a hose with a split end and an intercooler oring that was cracked. I now cut off a little of each hose at least once a year and also replace the orings in the intercooler system yearly. You might also want to check the warmup regulator to make sure the air valve is closing when the engine warms up and that it has power to it.
