Hd mine done by a local shop here in St. Louis 10 years ago. I don't think theres anything magical about these that would require one to send them to hollywood.
The guy who fixed it suggested to remove the needle sometimes he'll apply a bit ofheat from the tip of a soldering iron to the shaft. Don't know have never tried it but sounds plausible. At the time he charged $90 |
It appears that our host offers speedometer rebuild/repair services. I just stumbled across this and had I known at the time of my earlier posting, I would not have posted in my earlier post a request for details on another company who is offering competing services (yeah I suspect that PP is using the same company to do such but nevertheless it doesn't change things). Sorry about that Wayne.
So, while I would like to share what I got for a quote from that "other" company to do so would be bad form. However I just messaged PP and requested a quote from them. I will certainly share that once I receive the details. |
