oil temp issue solved? I have had a problem with my oil temp since getting it put back on the road after being stolen. I just couldn't figure why my temps are so damn hot(9:00 to 9:30 posistion on the gauge) I have a 79sc and never had any problems before, but then it was stolen and made to be ghetto fabulous. In the "conversion" I guess they maynot have had the correct jacking methods at their disposal and I have some bug dents around the jack plate receptable. I also have a big dent where the line goes up into the front fender. My guess is that the oil isn't moving fast enough to do much good in the trombone? I found this checking for fitment of a new mocal cooler I got. The tire was out of the way and this is the best oppertunity to check things out since the issue was noticed. Am I at the end of my quest for the issue? I feel this is got to be the (expensive) reason. Any thoughts? Thanks |

Has anyone repaired these lines? I assume you can sweat brass and copper with brass rods? Looks easy I guess after removing and cleaning. |

Thanks chill, I tested a couple copper pipes with brass rod and it stands up to the added heat. I'll be doing a repair in the next couple days. I'll keep posted. |

Your insurance should replace those lines (after theft damage). They are terrible. No wonder you are hot. |

I didn't claim anything so it doesn't have a bad title. The car is great other than this, infact this is the only damage I have, other than the fact he painted everything incl;uding rubber and the roll bar:( Plus, he took my fuchs I fixed everything back to rightious. |
