I tried on my 70'911T. I had to use high pressure air to pop the old pistons out.
I cleaned the inside wall with 400 grit sandpaper and ran new breakfluid throughout the entire caliper. I left a bunch of fluid as a lubricant for the seal and that was it.
Well actually for one only. I believe the others were just too old and somehow " distorded " and would grab the pistons...
I ended up buying three new ones !!!

I have rebuilt the calipers on my 65 911 quite a few times. It's pretty easy. Removing the pistons is the hardest part - don't waste time by doing it without an air source. I took all 4 of my calipers down to the local auto shop and for nothing, they stuck a high pressure air "squirter" into the brake fluid inlet and the pistons were fired out. Be sure to place a rag in between before you shoot them out, so you don't nick up the pistons. When replacing the pistons, be sure the high and low sides of the piston are angled correctly so they press on the brake pads correctly. I hope this helps some.
