Removing Front Sway Bar

What is the trick to removing the front sway bar?

Remove hardware and pull! If there is trouble, try jacking the suspension with your jack to the "normal" loaded position. Some motion lotion on the bushings may help as well.

If you think getting it out is tough, wait until you try putting it back in! Lube it up and push out one end once the weight of the car has been taken off the wheels.
Do a search for sway bar installation and you should find some good tips.

Brute force and lubrication....

I'm just about attacking this in the next few days...
I'm replacing mine with the thru the body type so my mechanic suggested me to simply grind off the old mounts with the bar in place. But otherwise, he also suggested brute force & lube.

Or, the "easy" way... while replacing my crossmember, I simply removed the three bolts that secure the front end of the a-arm and let it move a bit . That gave me plenty of wiggle room to move the a-arm. Since the a-arm is secured by three points, I don't see any way I could've disturbed my alignment, as long as you are sure you seat the a-arm back in the mount the same way.

So, you end up removing a few more bolts, but it's a snap to pull the swaybar out. You only need to do this on one a-arm, btw.

GOT IT! Had a friend drop by and helped push in the bar end. Thanks for all the help.
