How can I tell if my 911 has turbo tie rods?
Is there an easy way to determine if the previous owner of my car installed the turbo tie rods?
thanks, Todd |

Look underneath the car at the steering rack. Turbo tie-rods have a ball joint that attaches to the tie-rod to the rack. Regular tie-rods have a u-joint.

The u-joint on the standard tie-rod is exposed - located before the steering rack boot.

If you do a search for 'turbo tie rods' there are plenty of pics on both kinds.
