Rusty Fuel Tank, Food for the Dumpster?

From a 1970, rust and varnish inside (I think it may have received some sort of sealant on the inside in the past), rust on the outside. One of the top seams is rusty enough that it leaks. Is there any potential value to it? I'll probably save it till I get rid of the car it came from (I tend to "over save"), but if enough people tell me it's worthless, I might feed it to the dumpster (which would make my wife happy). I am sorry, but I have to ask. I keep reading about taking oil and fuel tanks to the "radiator shop". I have to recondition both of my tanks, and have been trying to identify a radiator shop here in Sweden, and everybody I ask just look blankly at me!?! When you all talk about a radiator shop, is that radiator as heating in the house (with hot water running through it) or radiator in the car (as in water cooled)?? I am sorry to ask, but I can not get anyone here in Sweden to understand what I am looking for

It is the heat exchanger used in the front of water cooled cars that is being referred to. People here call it a radiator even tho very little heat is lost by radiation... we are still using miles, pounds, and inches too...

Thank you Randy. At least now I know what I am looking for. Have not seen may of those shops here in Sweden either. I think that part is generally seen as a disposable part, so not really any business in cleaning etc?? BTW, PorscheShop (www.porscheshop.co.uk) have a special offer on at the moment on reconditioned fuel tanks (http://www.porscheshop.co.uk/acatalog/special_offers_products_porsche_cars.html), if that is of any help to you? - not sure if £345 + VAT is a good price though??

Paul, If you would stop looking at your avitar and her titties moving around, you might pick up more here on the forum! I cannot keep looking at your avitar as it causes me to stop thinking of 911's!

Good, used gas tanks are 100-150 while the re-nu process is 250 + any local tax. Dumpster. But do recover the fittings, which are brass. If it's out of that car you showed us, relieve yourself and put the whole thing in there. You wouldn't want that old chassis to harbor any "dangerous predators."
