Fabspeed dual outs DIY #2
Just finished my second DIY project on my car. To celebrate it's first anniversary in my garage I added a second outlet to my Fabspeed muffler. To make it easy to go back to stock, I bought a second rear valence from a fellow pelican and cut it with the second outlet hole and stored the original. Since its an original M491 thought it might be wise to do this if I ever sell it. The project went without a hitch. I cut the valence with a jig saw. Most of the time was spent trying adjust the outlets to look balanced for angle and height. It looked OK eyeballing it but looking at the pictures I see some more adjustments may be necessary.

It sounds great. Just the deep rumble I was looking for.

Nice work. FabSpeed makes some pretty nice looking mufflers

Looks great Jim! I'm sure it sounds better! So how does it feel?
I still can't believe we haven't seen each other yet - it's not like Simpsonville is a big town. Heck, and we live off of the same road just a few miles away from each other. Later, Mike

How did you go about adding the second outlet to what I presume was built as a single outlet? I have thought about doing this to my single out GHL. Did you get the matching tip from Fabspeed?

I have a Fabspeed dual that is capped, with the second tip in a box. How much louder is it, and is there any perf difference you can feel? My car's a cab, and if it gets too much louder, I will keep it in the box!

I'm going out of town on business this week, so it may not be such a good time for me. However, I'll PM you when I get back. I can't wait to hear the dual outs! Won't be bad to meet you either...
Later, Mike
