Loctite numbers

My 930 Workshop Manual specifies Loctite #73 to be used on the drive pinion locking nut. I can't find any info on this Loctite number on www.loctite.com. I suspect this product is NLA. Any idea which Loctite I should use for locking nus on the drive and driven shafts of a 930 tranny??

You can use the Loctite #242 or #262
The #242 is the Blue Removable
The #262 is the Red Permanant

The Red is probably what you want. It is permanant but can be removed after heating to 250F. Don't try to remove with out heat or you will snap the bolts.

Good Luck!!

Use 272 red loctite, high temp-- no worries--

271 red would be fine as well, its just not the high temp variety.
