Heater Hose replacement with modern products

I am attempting to clean up the engine compartment and want to replace the OEM heater hoses (brown paper hose with alm lining)with something more modern.

I have seen some photos of engine compartments with people using aircraft heater hose.

Where do you get this stuff and is it safe? What temperature ranges are needed for the replacement hose?

Your assistance is appreciated in advance.

Look up Aircraft Spuce & Specialty Co on the internet. Aeroduct Flexible Ducting, aka SCAT tubing. I think our size is "-10", 2.5" ID. Looks and works good.

Stuff looks pretty cool. Anybody using it?
For the 2 1/2 pipe I guess its $5.60 per foot.

Oh yeah, plenty of us have used it. Most of those places sell it in 11' lengths, so 2 people could get together for a purchase. IIRC, each car takes around a 3 footer and a 30 incher. Is that right?

(I had some weird H/E's that took the hose all the way up to near the heat valve box things. So I used it all.)

Aircraft Spruce sells it by the foot. I highly recommend it.

I have used it as well, but I have one reccomendation... Buy the type with the copper wire between two layers. Yes it is more expensive, but easier to work with. I bought the single layer and the copper wire tends to pop out of the ends where you cut it. If you are not careful it can continue to unravel.
Either way, it does look nice.

Thank you.

The second link has the 2 layer hose as recommended.
