Gratuitous Pics - New Decal and More
A few weeks ago I saw some photos posted by Stormmaster showing a "Carrera 3.2" decal that I've been interested in for quite a while. I contacted Mike Z at www.nbdgraphics.com and ordered some up. Mike's service was fast and the decals were excellent. I have a couple extra ones if anyone is interested.
Some Photos:

I like that. I want to put a duck on my SC targa and I think they look naked without something on there.

DeutschMark:
Our cars are almost twins: I get my ducktail back from the painter tomorrow. I have some Carrera graphics in white from Mike Z. The "3.2" would really be a great touch on my car. Let me know what it will cost to get one from you. Thank you. Mike |

MOMO3.2 - Nice car. I've seen your car in other posts and thought the same thing about being a twin. My interior is black with tan carpets. I'm thinking about changing them to black with some upholstery dye.
The decal is silver. It should look ok with white graphics. PM me your address and I'll send it to you at no charge.

Nice!
But what are those trees in the background on the first two photos ? Besides Porsche I am a 'tree-nut'. I am not familiar with that kind on the pics. Intriguing. Love the texture of the stem. Apologies for the side tracking!

Walnut. Yes, might be. There are several kinds of walnut. I need to look this up. The 'genuine' walnut is one of my favorites.
I know I border on autistic.. ![]() Would love a close up on the leaves. Once again, sorry for high jacking!

Not sure about the walnut trees. The photos were actually taken in northern Michigan, near Northport. I didn't see any nuts on the ground.

I also have an 84 Carrera Targa in black. I do not have the rear spoiler, yet.
![]() Not the most flattering picture but you get the point. My car has no graphics or Carrera emblems so I am interested in the look. I like Jack Olsen's side view Porsche graphic and the Carrera 3.2 you have on the tail, in silver. I have the graphics website bookmarked when the time comes. These posts help me decide (shop?). The bigger decision is duck tail or Carrera/RS whatever spoiler. There are tons of opinions out there on spoilers for a Targa. Thanks guys.

I bought the car with a Carrera tail but I never thought it looked right with the Targa roofline and rear window. It just didn't look proportional to me. To me, the duck doesn't interfere too much with the classic rear slope of the 911 and it is still functional. Also, it is lighter than the Carrera tail.
I bought mine from MA Shaw. It did not require any fiberglass work, only normal preparation for painting.
