Aux Air Regulator during hot weather
Anyone,
We are having unusual hot weather in Belgium (30-35 degrees or 90-100 Fahrenheit). When I start my SC from cold the idle immediately goes to 950, normally it stats out at 1200 and then drops. Is this due to the hot weather outside? I am assuming the outside temp is enough to close the AAR without having to wait to warm it up. Is my thinking correct? Thanks for your opinions. Michel |

Michel,
the AAR delivers less air at higher ambient temperatures. As soon as the engine is running, an electrical heating element closes the AAR in 2-3 minutes. But your cold idle also depends on your WUR setting. You find details about the AAR here: AAR Revisited Best regards,

Tell me about it ..!
I live in the "Caribbean" Tropics, PR, and the AAR is useless since this unit was desing to work in colder weather. Vic
