insulation

I have isolated my constantly plugged jets in my webers to bits of engine compartment insulation which I have ripped out. Is there any downside besides more cabin noise? Seems like it could only be good cause more heat is being transferred out.

You may find that the cabin may be a bit warmer since the insulation is supposed to keep the heat IN the engine bay and away from the passenger compartment.

On a side note, we have a house in Sunriver. Wife and daughter were up there for the 4th.

Your family must have had a great time at SR. The weather was perfect! I used to vac ation here a lot and am actually from the SFBA but after twenty years in the Silly Valley I along with many others have escaped up here. The value of my house has doubled in three years. SOund familiar?
