.........after 20 years (give or take a few) I have my dream car!!! '77 911 targa. I have been using this site for reference, VERY HELPFUL!!!!!!!. Just installed a new clutch, and fixed a few other misc. items. The clutch works fine, but the engine seems to idle a little ruff. I might have a vacum leak? or the fuel sys. needs some work? I hope nothing major the clutch job is going to take a while to pay off. The car is a kick in the pants to drive!!!!! After I replaced the clutch in my '78 911SC last Nov, it ran poorly, in fact, it barely ran. I replaced the fuel filter (which was fairly new) and it was back to normal. I figured that the 28 years a sediment in the fuel tank was stirred up when I had the tail in the air.

It's worth a shot.

Hi all: Thanks for the info. and compliments. Sorry for the late reply but I had to get up early in the morning to twist on wrenches. The house in the background is the neighbors. Thanks for the fuel filter info., one is now on order. No we don't live in the bay area - are three hours south. (Paso Robles). Would love to get some info. on auto cross. I want to run a compression test and leak down to see where the engine is at before I start any racing. Can't wait though!!!!!!!!!
