Question on tube from heat exchanger to car?
Hello all,
I'm doing some clean up on my heat exchangers for my '77 911s.....old oil, dirt, 29 years of road grime....all the stuff that smells when you've driven for an hour and stop at a red light. Anyway, while they're getting bead blasted thought I would replace the old air tubes from the exchanger to the bottom of the car. Bought the tubes from Pelican ($25.00+ each...ouch!!) They arrive and are nothing like what I've currently got on the car. Current one's are pliable so they can curve and connect between car and exchangers. The new, expensive one's are rigid. Did I get the wrong one's? They were the only one's Pelican had. Anyone else have this problem? Is this problem because I have the thermo reactor set up on my car? Thanks for your usual good advise. Sean

If they are the red ones kind of rubbery they are stiff, but will bend. I just put some on. They are tuff but work well.
Since your down there, if you have the 2.7 L motor, you might consider removing the air injectors on the heads and pluggin the holes up. It will reduce the temp of your heads and help keep your engine from tearing apart. Easy to do.
