Achtung Bauabweichung !!!
Hi,
I bought a used 930 trans (2nd) it was removed from a running car and is in good shape (I have inspected R&P is perfect). BUT it the bellhousing has a red sticker : achtung bauabweichung !! Atlavista = ATTENTION CONSTRUCTION DIVERGENCY ??? !!! The PO says the box works ok and he is a very trustworthy person as I have bought almost all my Porsche transmissions from him and all are very good. What do you think about this ??? Oh, is a 77 short with LSD...

Jim, there is no such German word as "baubweichung".
Maybe it is Abweichung? Could you please look again?

I agree there is no such German word... a careful re-check of spelling is in order...

It must be a joke.....
bauabweichung is close to what you said in the first place...apparantly after you made an editing change in spelling... "Warning !...Construction Divergence ...or.. Construction Off-Course Pathway".....you know...like a lane shift or forced exit when there is construction on a highway..... - Wil
