Does anybody remember Scheel seats and Gotti wheels?

Scheel was Recaro's main competition at one time and Gotti made beautiful modular wheels. Where are they now?

Scheel is alive and well in Germany, but is now called Scheel Mann. They don't sell there products in the US anymore.

I bought a set of Gotti's for the 85 I had. Saw them last year and they still look great. They were a high end wheel back in those years. I think I remember that team Liger used them in F1 back then.

Porsche Crest

Gottis were light, well-made, and handsome, too ... closest thing to Fuchs on the aftermarket scene in the '70s and '80s! They were used by a disreputable marketeer in Florida on fake AMGs sold to several big-name NFL and NBA stars ... documented in Autoweek at the time!

I had a tricked out '76 Rabbit, with Weber DCOE 40's, Headers, cam, body kit, Ansa exhaust, Phoenix tires (what happened to them also), Scheels seats, and Gotti 2 piece wheels which were really beautiful. This was before I could afford a Porsche, the next car I bought— the one in my signature below.

Gotti was bought by Etoile and later Etoile was bought by Ronal. The wheels were pretty much absorbed into the Ronal line or just phased out.

I think they're great wheels as well.
