Am wanting to replace the after market muffler on my 70 911T, anyone had good/bad experience with the types available? Would Like to stay close to original specs.

Try talking to Wayne at Pelican Parts. I picked up one for $200 from them that was aftermarket as OEM.

If your car has mechanical injection, I would stay with the stock muffler.

Ended up fitting a Mille Miglia stainless steel exhaust. Great quality and beautiful note, music between 3000 - 4000 rpm. B.

Is the mille miglia a dual-in/single-out style? how much was it approx? was the shipping costly from australia? I have a perfectly decent stock muffler on my 70 911E but would like something a little sportier. Had a dual-out "factory style" sport muffler for a few years but it was way too loud for street use... Chris

Freight wasn't a problem for me, I live in Australia not far from the factory. A dual in single out finishing with a 3" pipe, or a 2.5" if you want. Its not too loud, has a nice range of notes. A 30 day money back guarantee for build quality and sound! thats what made me try it couldn't really lose. It cost $1100 AUD which is about $700 USD.They have a web site with tech data, www.millemiglia.com.au
The catalogue lists By Design in California ph. 888 9932911 as a dealer in the US.Its been on for a few days now and I'm going to keep it. B. [This message has been edited by bpliston (edited 11-26-1999).] [This message has been edited by bpliston (edited 11-26-1999).] |

Also have a question. How do I remove the rear compartment wall and rear shelf? There are some old speakers bolted through and want to take them out. From a casual look I can't see how to do it. Thanks in advance. B.
