enjoying toes out
really enjoy toe out cornering more so than toe in tracks nicer and steering seems more responsive my toe out is 1/4 inch is this a problem as 1/8 recomended? more wear on bearings? thanx looking to track for 1st time in 2 weekson 21st

Toe out is fine for track work. It will wear your tires quicker and tend to wander just a bit more.
The best setup for the track, camber and toe, usually aren't the best for the street and tire wear. How's your tire budget? |
I suspect you'll have massive bumpsteer. I hope the roads in your area are smooth.

Toe out works for me too. Corners flatter, tracks straighter, no wander either and no bumpsteer.
Let's keep it a secret. Joe |
I haven't tried it preferring to use zero, which I expect toes in slightly on braking for nice tracking, but seems to turn in quick enough. I don't see what weight cars we are talking about other than Doug's which I expect is light. Don't lighter cars turn in better naturally? I guess if we are talking fully loaded Carreras, they probably could use the help at auotx and technical tracks. However, a 1/4 inch seems like a lot to me. I wouldn't want that at 120> mph.
You don't need no stinkin' quick turn in at Big Willow. ;) |
