930 axle upgrade

Pelican's

I recently broke a CV on my 71' 911 racecar due to putting 300+ hp at the wheels thru a 911 axle setup. While the smaller cv's/axles have served me well the last 10 years, it is time to upgrade. The question is, will the turbo stub axles fit into a late 911 trailing arm?

I know the drive flanges on the 915 box can inter-change to the larger 108mm version, but what about on the trailing arm side? Also, does anyone have a set of inboard/outboard drive flanges they want to get rid of? I aready have the 930 axles and cv's taken care of.

Thanks!

hmmmm. You happen to have Bruce Anderson's 911 performance hand book? It shows pic of 930 rear trailing arm and non-turbo one. The stub axle area looks much longer on the turbo.

930 stubs and axles are shorter than Carrer/915 ones and canot be used outright. 930 rear suspension arms are totally different than SC/Carrera ones, so it will take lot's of modifications in order to use 930 pieces.

I suggest changing stubs to 108mm Carrera ones and using Carrera halfshafts. They are cheap, bigger than 915 ones and outer CV's are one-piece so there is no torquing/repackning that has to be done.
