Late seats, early car
I have a pair of seats from a 85-94 911 which I would like to fit into my 72.
Anyone have any idea what's involved or what I need to complete the project? |

I used some 2"x 1/8" flat steel stock from Home Depot to spread across the earlier car's wider mounts. With low Recaro shells and no sunroof, I barely fit with a helmet.
With stock Porsche seats, it's time for a cut & weld on your seat mounts to set them lower in your car. |

S**t, didn't realize it would need to be that drastic, could be time for rethink. My original seats are all but perfect, just not very supportive. Would like to be able to re-fit them if necessary, really don't want to go at the car with irreversible consequences.

No need to cut the car. The adapter plates go over the tracks. Do a search with my handle and adapter plates. Much has been posted.
