AC condenser blower motor

DIYer.
Bentley Manual 1984 911 page (970-45) AC wiring diagram.
Sorting out my fuse panel #3 in front trunk (971-14).
Trying to remember if I read somewhere... was there an extra 20Amp fuse put between AC fuse #2 25 Amp in panel #3 and the blower motor - detailed in a suppliment to the factory manuals to keep the condensor blower motor from drawing too much current, seizing, and posing a potential fire hazzard. If so where was it placed in the circuit - before or after the condenser blower relay.
(Really need to get a copy of the factory manual - adding it to my wish list.)
Cheers - Thanks!

It was place after the relay. Our host use to sell the harness to add the fuse to the circuit. I did the mod to my car.

Had a radiator fan motor seize on my Audi 4000 quattro and it melted the entire wiring harness in the engine. Was a b!tch to remove and replace. Why those nGerman engineers don't use relay for high ampereage equipment is a mystery to me.

Oh they also don't wire the headlamps with relays.

Is 20 amps the proper size for this? I think that I'm going to spend a day or so fusing my car in the near future.

Thank you. Makes since that it would be after the relay - an extra level of protection.
For the other posted reply. Watts/Volts = Amps. Look at the wattage of the motor / by 12 volt battery = amp fuse. I like to use a lower rated fuse as it blows faster and saves the appliance connected to it. Much cheaper.

The front condensor fan fuse upgrade was done by Porsche for the 88 model year and was an ATO style 7.5 amp type......

A separate wiring harness with fuse holder is available as a factory part for the front condenser of earlier cars.....see Technical Bulletin part identifier 8753, number 8803, under group 8 of the service manual ( Aug 12, 1988).

Porsche P/N 911.612.077.00

Bulletin replaces Technical Bulletin Group 8, Number 8803, dated July 29, 1988.

You can also fashion a harness yourself....pretty easy.
