Could a 1975 911 be galvanized?
Im looking at a 75 911 that the owner is claiming it was galvanized, since it is a G model, and all Gs were galvanized. I thought this only started in 76, and I have never heard of a G model, can anyone shed some light?
Much appreciated. |

I had a 1975 911 Euro spec targa and this was definately galvanised, i also originally thought this only started in 1976 so was surprised when restoring the car to find it was galvanised.

From what I have read is that in the early '70's Porsche started using galvanized on some of their metal. In '76 they started galvanizing the entire car. So, in '75 it may be galvanized except for the hoods and roof, (that is usually the last panels to get done).
