Am I going wrong by using Boge shocks?
I am planning on replacing my shocks on all 4 corners of the car. I have black struts which as I was reading it says I should be able to use either Bilsteins, Boge, Koni's, or KYB. I am aware that Bilsteins are what everyone says to get but I am not plannign on racing or auto-x and the car is only used on the street. I can get Boge's pretty cheap so would I really notice a difference?

I have Boges in the front and Bilstein rear and I like my setup. If you were going to race more I would go Bilstein or Konis all around. Koni adjustables are a great setup for street and track I hear.

I have Boge front struts and KYB rear shocks. They are great for the street. I noticed a big improvement over the worn out stock units. I now use them on the track and the set up seems fine (although I am still running stock torsion/ sway bar set up).
Boges are a quality shock. I don't think you will notice a difference between new Boges or Bilstien/ Koni unless you are pushing the car to its limits (and then still maybe not notice). I don't think I would buy another KYB for my Porsche. One of them leaked within a month of install and the replacement looks as though it is starting to leak. |
So Boge it is....thanks guys
