'87 911 carrera interior heating problem
Hi there and greetings from the Netherlands. I'm having a problem with my leftside interior heating. The fan is working fine in front of the car, but seems to create a vacuum instead of sucking hot air into the interior. What can it be? I guess it is something near the engine. If you have detailed info with pictures, I would be especially greatfull. Who can help me locate the problem? Thank you all very much in advance and Pelican Parts for providing this bulletin board. I had the same problem with BOTH sides at
once in my '85 Carrera. Fortunately it was a simple fix. Lift the rear of your car and examine the heater pipes coming off of the heat exchangers. Check for kinks, holes, etc, caused by debris. In my case, the pipes had been pulled off entirely. I just reattached the hose clamps and problem solved. Hope this helps. -d [This message has been edited by dtw (edited 12-20-1999).] |
