Help! Hesitation on 87' 930

I have a problem I am hoping you can shed some light on. I just did a clutch job on my 87' 930. The clutch seems to be operating just fine. However I am having a couple of other anomilies. First let me say I did nothing during my clutch job except the clutch components and I did an air pump belt. I did not do anything with my exhaust. The main problem I am having is I am getting some hesitation when boost kicks in. It doesn't happen all the time but happens frequently in fourth when I step on it ,the boost guage registers @ .8 bar of boost but I get hesitation and no torque. Even though in 1st-3rd I get fairly normal boost and acceleration, it still feels a little underpowered. The last thing I will mention is the car idles fine and had a major service 2k miles ago. I appreciate any help.

I would start with a new set of plugs. It's not that unusual for one to fail in such a short time and it's always best to start with simplest, cheapest solutions before trying anything exotic and expensive anyway.

Sounds like the pop-off valve might be sticking open. It sits under the intercooler on stock engines and is held open by engine vacuun and a spring forces it shut when boost comes up. They can get some goop if the engine sits for a while such as when doing an overhaul and you use mineral based oil. You can remove it after removing the intercooler, disassemble it and make sure it is clean and be careful with the rubber connections when reassembling. Oil from the turbo takes care of it's lubrication. Might be a good time to replace the o-rings on the turbo piping. I use a synthetic grease to lube and seal the o-rings and they seem to last better. I put new ones in each year with the major service.
