Please post good pic of PMO 40 throat with stacks
Hi folks, anyone proud of their 40 PMOs? I want to see a pic looking down one of the throats, including the stack.
Anyone running 40 IDAs can play too. THANKS! Doug |

Down the throat - 40 PMO carburetors on the spyder. Is that the pic that you were looking for? If there is something else you had in mind, let me know, I'll walk out to the garage and shoot the pic for you. angela

Great shot Angela, I am trying to find a set of velocity stacks that actually fit a Weber 40. All stacks that I can find are too big in diameter. Not sure how PMOs correspond to Webers. If it turns out that the stacks on your car are the right size for your carbs, then I can order a set from PMO. Check if the transition from the stack to the throat is smooth. If it is, then I just need to find out the throat diameter of the PMO 40 where the stack bolts on, and I can ask the folks at PMO about that. If it's the same (roughly) as Weber 40's, then PMO has the stacks I am looking for.
Anyone who is thinking about pointing me at a vendor with STACKS FIT ALL WEBER IDF 40/44/46/48!!!! think again. It is impossible that a single stack can fit all of these applications properly. Thanks again Angela! Doug |

Okay, I see what you're after. The stacks are a direct transition into the throat of the carb. There is no step or taper visible. The venturi can be seen a little further down - its a 36 in my case.
