Seat of my pants
Got fed up of sliding around on an unsupportive seats so have just bought a pair of later style seats for my car. The driver side seat is electric, the passenger seat is manual.
Anyone rigged up an electric seat on an early car? I haven't a clue when it comes to electrics so I need all the help I can get. |

I have never wired the switch on the seats.
If you are attempting to wire the seats to power, brown is the ground and I believe brown/red is power. 2 ways to power the seats: 1. use a blank in the fuse box and do it right. 2. the easiest way is to run the hot wire through the tunnel to positive starter spade. The seats will be powered 24/7. Please disconnect the battery when doing this!

nigel911,
I recommend whe you due the wiring to purchase the proper "mating" connection to wire the seat properly. A previous owner soldered the connection on my seats making my life very painful everytime I have to pull the seats

Those are usually available at most outlets like PartHeaven. Just send them a picture of the plug and they can send you the appropriate harness.
