Tail removal

I would like to remove the whale tail on my 86" cab. It looks like I have to remove the Oil cooling system mounted under the rear engine cover. This system is pressurized and I don't want to screw something up. Any suggestions?

The unit mounted on the underside of the engine lid is one of the condensors for the a/c system - yes it's pressurized - with freon.
When you remove the whale tail you'll be left with about 10 1/4 inch holes in the engine lid. Probably the easiest thing to do would be to get another lid from a salvage yard (in the same color) otherwise you'll have to have all these holes filled and have the cover repainted.
Are you sure you really want to remove the tail?
