Weber Rebuild - Parts Needed
I've gone to the dark side. Rather than spend anywhere from $ 700 to $ 1000, yesterday I began the rebuild process on my 40IDA3C Webers. I have some experience and am well read thanks to Pat Braden and the Haynes TechBook. The short of it:
1. While removing the main jets one broke in the hole. I was able to EZ out the broken portion but later a drain plug broke in the hole as well. That was also ez outed. Who is the best source for Weber Carb. Parts? 2. Does anyone out there have Weber 40's on a 2.2? If so, please let me know what your carb adjustments are as far as idle and air mixture. This will be a starting point for my tuning process. The easiest way to do it is to count turns until the idle/air screws are completely seated. Any other insight would be great. Happy New Year.
