Anyone remember CARtoons?
I'm looking for a 60's era Car comic book. I'm not sure if it was CARtoon or a different one.
One of the cartoons had two cavemen testing out the first wheel. They crash and exclaim that "it's back to the drawing board". Returning to the cave they have a cave drawing with Craig Breedloves "Spirit of America" on the wall. Do you know of this issue? If not are you a good enough artist to draw it up for me? __________________

Well, the classic two caveman comic of the 60's (and later) was "B.C." It may be still being published, not sure.
I don't remember cavemen in the CARtoons magazine but I was pretty young, I couldn't buy all that many...had to talk my mom into buying them! Here's a cartoon of a Porsche from the magazine that someone posted in another thread on this same topic awhile ago. I saved it just because I thought it was cool! PLEASE, if anyone has more, please post them here. I'd LOVE to have some more. ![]()

A few years ago there was a site where you could see all the old CARtoon issues. Haven't seen it since.
I specifically remember an all VW & Porsche issue, where either Krass & Bernie were driving a 356 while they finished a 930. Trosley did a fair bit of advertising cartoons for VW vendors, if I remember correctly. http://www.georgetrosley.com/cartoons.html

I was fortunate and maybe had some foresite a young kid...but I bought pretty much bought all the editions from 1984-1989ish that I could get my hands on - circulation was limited and very hit and miss...last year of release was early '90s IIRC.
Trosely was my favorite and wow that does not bring back memories. Yasin

I remember "CARtoons" from back in the early 70's. I used to buy it all the time, but got tossed with all the comic books and Sports Illustrated's. I do recall "Trosley" from the cartoons in "Hustler", but only because a friend of mine bought the magazine and I saw them there..
