I'm interested in seeing the different locations and ways fire extinguishers are mounted in porsches. Are you using powder, halon or other.

went with $325 SPA system. t-handle on dash-t-handle mtd to roll bar. last chance effort fire ext mtd with 2 hose clamps on drivers main roll bar hoop below my left shoulder. since mine is a cab you can access as you are bailing out. mount 2 ext and thats the best of the best if you dont opt for SPA type bottle. and have good insurance.

Chuck, I bought a Halon and not sure where to put it yet. Thought about the tunnel in front of the shifter since i removed the console.

great place for it. just go thru the panic drill. unfasten belts, shut key off, grab release, grab bottle and shoot at base of flames. i would mt 2 extinguishers. one as you mentioned and the other in front of passenger seat a la brey krause unit if you dont have a roll bar. if looking for roll bar for cab............DAS SPORTS 4 pt. SCCA/PCA approved bar will fit your cab like a glove and take you and amigo a 6-pack to install. i bought mine from CDOC out your way.

KATZ will be safer too! CDOC racing .com DAS SPORTS BAR has your name on it. you could have it in by sunday if you order now. tell them "AS SEEN ON TV" for the good buddy KATZ discount!
notch front mounts that attach outboard of both seats(drivers stock left seat belt mount-passenger right side stock seat belt mount) for full movement backward with your seats. buy KATZ dry food for next few months and spring for recaro pole positions. your KATZ WILL THANK YOU AND THEY WILL GET ALL THE CHICKS! why you ask? CUZ THEY IS ......KOOL KATZ! LOL! |

That's where I mounted mine. Good to have nothing cluttering up the front, but not so great when the kids are in the back! Here's a pic:

Great photos. Seems the rear seat area on most 911's goes unused.

Mounted it behind the dr seat. Found the little metal seat hold down bracket was about the size for the fire extinguisher mount. I'm happy! Easily accessible if needed!

Why behind the driver's seat..can't reach while still in seat, totally out of reach
...maybe same mounting but behind psngr seat ?? That way there is at least a chance you can reach it while still buckled. - Wil
