Is this something I can do myself or should I get an expert to install it?

My seats are well-worn and I am looking to keep the stock appearance.

I didn't look at that kit but upholstery isn't too difficult with a pre-made kit. Just get some hog rings and pliers and take your time and it can actually be fun.

I did not purchase the kit you have listed but I did purchase this kit, WU-911-0601-3 in black leather.

The quality was nice and the covers were well made. However, I found them to be slightly larger than I wanted, which required more foam to be added (usually you need to add foam anyway and the existing covers do shrink over time, could be me being extremely picky). Most important to me, is the black leather was not as "black" as the original. It looked more like a charcoal grey. Good quality leather, just not a match to my eye.

I did this on my Tundra a few years ago. It took about a weekend to do all the seats, and all I needed was a pair of pliers. The headrests I could not do myself because they were too tight and had to have a shop to put them on, but that's not an issue on the 911.

A good upgrade for the seat bottom is to make foam cylinders and push them into the bottom spring holes. This tightens up the bottom and gets rid of the bounce. Easy to do when you have the covers off. Rob

As Dirty Harry once said, "A man's got to know his limitations." I am not getting into anything that requires me to use a sewing machine!

I would still like to hear from anyone who has purchased and installed the vinyl seat covers from Pelican Parts. Anyone out there who has used these covers? If so, are the covers a good match for the original seat covers?

There's a large thread on this with pics. In my humble opinion and judging from that thread, it is very difficult to get it right. They come out OK, but there are always wrinkles and folds where a pro service wouldn't have them. I was looking at covers until I saw that thread.
