911 Trailer Help
Sorry this is slightly OT. I have the car on the trailer for a 6 hour trek in the morning to Autobahn CC and I have trailer wiring problems. The trailer lights are all messed up. Here's what's going on:
Left Blinker - both flash Right blinker - ok Brake lights - left only, right i on all the time. After messing with the lights and tracing the wiring it looks like the power coming out of the truck into the 7-pin socket is all messed up. So, the truck is a 2004 Chevy Tahoe with the factory wiring harness. All I did was plug it in and add the brake controller. What's up? Could the controller be bad and causing these problems? If so, I'm looking to hit the closest truck stop and buy a new one. TIA, John

sounds like the left blinker and brake light wires are reversed,....but i haven't messed too much with brake controllers so i can't help you there.
don't forget to check parking lights.

Trailer has been wired for two years and then all of a sudden this problem. That's why I'm thinking it's the controller.

Things like this happen when the ground is not working. Just like on our cars.
