Does anyone know of a good Porsche mechanic in the South Of France Nr. -Nice, Cannes, Antibes?.
Also I would be interested in getting in contact with any porsche owners in the area for fun runs etc..
I need someone who can help with my oil cooler install, which involves twin to single battery conversion plus cutting/removing/welding old battery box to faciltate new cooler placement.
I am stuck doing house renovations and dont think I am going to have the time for the project (plus I cannot do bodywork myself).

don't want to volunteer anyone but maybe "milu" or "georgek" can offer any suggestions... those are the only ones i can think of that at some point were even remotely close to the area. maybe they've heard of a few shops.

I have a friend in Antibes whose son is training as a Porsche tech. I'll ask if they have a recommendation for an aircooled tech.

For what it is worth there is an Official dealer in Fréjus. That is only 30 minutes, they where very helpful once when I passed with my SC but ofcourse this is very official read expensive.

Almeras freres (brothers) in montpellier- they have been into racing porsches seemingly forever. their cars have won class at le mans several times, won the french national rally championship etc etc

Wayne I would be very interested in touch base with your friend who may be in 'the know'. Antibes is only about 20-30 mins from me.

Michel- I will try Frejus dealer by phone if I come up with nothing else, maybe they can reccomend somone, but they would not be interested in my project if they are a modern Porsche garage.

TRe Cup- Montpellier is just a bit too far for me as it is nearer the Spanish border, I am nearer the Italian. But thanks for the suggestion.

- It is just a little too warm to be wrenching at the mo. and I have a home to prepare as the wife will be having our 1st born in about 2 months!.
I am sure after that, I will have even less time for the porsche!

when i googled antibes porsche garage , i found clicauto.fr and it listed a lot of shops in various cities - maybe you can find one close to you

2)Caridi brothers ,Patrick's garage is close to "Le Castellet "now and his brother Vincent is in "Bouches du Rhone" a little bit more far from Antibes but close to my place.
I am currently in China ,I will be back in south of France (Aix en Provence) in August short time then I will finish assigment end of this year and will be back home in 2007.
So I expect to finish my restauration and we might keep in touch if you are interesting to meet some 911 buddies in our area.
There are some gathering nearly your place like Le Luc (83) Ledenon (30) Le Sambuc (13).

I have emailed my friend. She doesn't always respond quickly to emails so we will see what her son can come up with.
